Neptunus Tailong Pharmacy partnered with us to create a high-end metal packaging solution for their “Ejiao Yishou” oral liquid series. As a traditional Chinese tonic with significant medicinal value, the packaging needed to convey both heritage and modern pharmaceutical reliability while protecting the sensitive glass vials inside.

Project Overview

Oral liquids are typically packaged in fragile glass vials, requiring a secondary container that offers both structural rigidity and light shielding. The client sought to move beyond standard paper boxes to a premium tinplate format that enhances the “gift-of-health” perception during festive seasons. Our team designed a large-format flat rectangular tin with a multi-layered interior for maximum product safety.

Packaging Solution

Material: 0.23mm high-density tinplate, providing a 100% opaque barrier against UV light to preserve the tonic’s active ingredients.
Structure: A large rectangular two-piece construction (lid and base) with rounded corners for a sleek, modern silhouette.
Printing: Features a deep “Royal Red” base with subtle traditional calligraphy patterns in the background. The central product name is highlighted with multi-level embossing and gold-foil-style lithography for a 3D tactile effect.
Internal Protection: Includes a custom-fitted yellow PET tray and a transparent plastic cover to securely hold 12 individual 20ml vials, preventing clinking and breakage during transit.
Compliance: The printing includes essential pharmaceutical data, including the OTC (Over-the-Counter) mark and manufacturing credentials, rendered with high-precision clarity.

Results & Feedback

The introduction of the tinplate edition of Ejiao Yishou Oral Liquid resulted in a significant uptick in sales within the premium healthcare sector. Customers noted that the tin was far more durable than previous paper versions and felt appropriate for high-value gifting. The client also benefited from the tin’s stackability, which optimized warehouse storage and reduced shipping damage for bulk retail orders.
